HERTALAN® KS 96 Adhesive Sealant
A high quality MS Polymer adhesive sealant specially developed for adhering HERTALAN® EPDM membranes and accessories both vertically and horizontally to timber, bitumen, concrete, EPDM, metalwork and membrane jointing.
One component, an odourless adhesive and sealant durably bonds HERTALAN® EPDM membranes to one another. The adhesion is elastic and waterproof. After complete curing, a temperature resistance of -40 °C to +100 °C is achieved. HERTALAN® KS 96 is used to finish the glued seam on the outer edge of the membrane. Properties and Installation
Installation of KS96 must take place in dry weather and at a minimum temperature of +5°C. The surfaces to be bonded must be dry, frost-free and clean. In the case of glued seams (HERTALAN® KS 137), a 20 mm wide zone is sealed with HERTALAN® KS 96 at the edge. To do this, the adhesive is applied to one side and then the seam is rolled on with a silicone pressure roller. Watch out for a bead of adhesive about 1 mm wide
