Façade Membrane BS-1

Façade Membrane BS-1 uses the same quality ARBO® EPDM membrane with the addition of one butyl strip, providing easy and clean application to timber and composite window and door frames. The butyl strip ensures precise positioning and strong initial adhesion without additional adhesive on the frame face.

Unique properties of ARBO® Façade Membrane BS-1

The butyl strip on Façade Membrane BS-1 eliminates the need to apply adhesive directly to the frame face, speeding up installation and ensuring a consistent, clean bond to timber and composite frames.

What applications are ARBOPROTECT Pro® products designed for?
ARBOPROTECT Pro® products provide weathertight, airtight and durable sealing solutions for façade openings, window and door frames, cavity walls, glazing systems and structural glazing fabrications. The range covers EPDM membranes, foam tapes, butyl strips and structural spacer tapes for both site and modular off-site construction applications.

How long is the service life of ARBOPROTECT Pro® membrane and tape products?
ARBOPROTECT Pro® EPDM membranes have an expected service life of up to 50 years under normal conditions. Foam tape and butyl strip products carry a service life of 20 years or more. All products should be stored in original packaging in a dry, cool environment away from direct sunlight. Are ARBOPROTECT Pro® products compatible with sensitive substrates?
Yes. ARBOPROTECT Pro® EPDM-based products are solvent-free and compatible with sensitive substrates including natural stone, paint finishes, glass and concrete. They do not affect solvent-sensitive paint finishes and are compatible with the full range of ARBO® adhesives and sealants.

ARBO® Façade Membrane BS-1 are recommended for sealing and weatherproofing construction gaps and window and door openings in building façades, particularly where application to timber or composite frames is required.
